We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Greenkeeper to start on a 2 year apprenticeship scheme. The successful applicant will be given full training and at the end of the contract and will be classed as a qualified greenkeeper.

Apprenticeship summary

You will be working within a team of greenkeepers and we are looking for someone with a polite manner and a willingness to learn, initially working on basic greenkeeping duties and then hopefully being introduced to all golf course equipment and machinery as you progress.

By working within a small team over time you will gain experience and be involved in all areas of golf course maintenance.

The work is physically challenging you will be working outdoors in all types of weather and early starts are essential along with occasional weekend work.

Desired qualifications are GCSE level 3 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

Working week – Summer hours - Monday to Friday 6am- 2.30 pm

Winter hours – 7am – 2.30pm

Annualised hours at 40 hours per week.

Any additional hours will be paid as overtime.

Wage – £7.55 per hour

Skills training will be onsite and your level 2 qualification will be at Pershore College on a block day(s) release basis at different times of the year, when you attend college this will be part of your working week and will be paid as a normal working day, any travel expenses incurred will be paid by your employer.
