The Role

As an Apprentice Service Technician, you will be trained to service, maintain, and repair light vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes). You’ll gain hands-on experience alongside experienced professionals while developing technical skills across all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics.

Key responsibilities include:

Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines
Diagnosing faults and repairing components
Replacing worn or faulty parts
Supporting service teams with repair advice and time estimates
Maintaining accurate service and repair records

Training & Development

This is a fully supported 3-year apprenticeship programme, combining:

On-the-job training at Lakeland Land Rover
Classroom learning (day release at college)
E-learning and practical assessments
Dedicated mentor support

On completion, you will achieve:

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance
JLR-specific qualifications and certifications
Industry-recognised automotive qualifications

Entry Requirements

GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in English, Maths, and two other subjects
Predicted grades will be considered
A driving licence is preferred but not essential

Working Hours

Full-time position
Monday to Friday
Saturday's worked on a Rota basis
