Apprentices are fully funded by us, through the levy and can either do a L2 or L3 apprenticeship in partnership with Best Practice Network.

Pay: £7.55 - £7.55 per Hour
Working Hours: 38 hours over 4 days from 8am-6pm. 20% off your working week will be off the job learning.

What Being an Apprentice Involves

As an Early Years Apprentice, you’ll be part of a supportive team, learning while making a positive impact in children’s lives. You’ll:

Dedicate 20% of your week to training, with the remainder spent gaining hands-on experience in a vibrant, nurturing environment.
Help create a warm, fun, and safe space where children thrive.
Engage children in play-based activities inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Build strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Support children’s developmental milestones and keep parents informed with updates.
Assist with daily routines, maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and care.

About our Nursery

Based in a charming farmhouse, our nursery is the perfect setting for our outdoor-focused learning-environment centred around the importance of playing in nature, and we make full use of that each day. At Little Green Rascals Flaxton we provide care for up to 60 children, each one benefiting from our unique approach that encourages exploration, curiosity, and a love for the great outdoors. We have 3 rooms, Wiggly Worms (babies), Cheeky Hens (toddlers) and Little Green Rascals (preschool). We are also incredibly lucky at Flaxton to have access to an amazing Forest School, run by our Forest School Lead. Although we’re tucked away in Flaxton, finding us is easy, as we’re close to the A64 between York and Malton with onsite parking for staff.
