This position offers a valuable opportunity for an apprentice to become part of the Digital Services team within People, Policy and Transformation. The role will support the ongoing delivery of the council’s digital strategy objectives and outcomes.

The apprentice will gain experience in operational and project tasks such as mobile phone administration, support for digital projects e.g. PSTN/digital switchover and assistance with information requests. They may also assist with administrative duties like scheduling meetings and taking minutes and issuing mobile phones.

Ideally, the preferred candidate should demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, have good knowledge in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, possess a solid grasp of digital technologies, and be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. The role will require some working at the Civic Centre, likely to be a few days each week.

Interviews will be held in the Civic Centre in person.
