About South Herts Golf Club

Founded in 1899, South Herts Golf Club is one of North London's most respected and historic clubs, with two beautifully maintained courses – the 18-hole Vardon Course and the 9-hole Rees Course. We take pride in the quality of our playing surfaces and the professionalism of our greenkeeping team.

We are now looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our experienced team. Whether you're seeking a full-time start in the industry or looking for a part-time opportunity to develop new skills, this is a fantastic way to begin your greenkeeping career.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, and roughs
Operate and maintain turf care machinery (training provided)
Support with seasonal tasks including renovations, topdressing, aeration, and irrigation
Learn best practices in golf course management, safety, and environmental care
Work with a skilled team to present the course to the highest standards

What We’re Looking For

A genuine interest in greenkeeping or golf course maintenance
Enjoys working outdoors in all weathers
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions
No prior experience needed – full training and support provided
