The Opportunity

Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Facilities Management Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing the operations and maintenance of essential facilities and services within the nuclear new build industry.
As a Facilities Management Apprentice, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to support the smooth functioning of site facilities while adhering to the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental compliance. During your apprenticeship you will be working towards a Level 3 Facilities Management Supervisor qualification.

Interest in learning about hard and soft service disciplines, compliance, health & safety, procurement and stakeholder management.- A genuine interest in the energy industry and a passion for sustainability and being a part of making a difference.
- We will need you to be open minded, flexible and have an agile way of thinking to succeed in a dynamic fast paced project environment.
- Having a strategic mindset that brings innovative ideas.
- Effective interpersonal skills are key, as well as being able to demonstrate high ethical behaviour, integrity, humility, and character.
- Effective communication skills will be required to manage your stakeholders whilst prioritising competing demands.

Sizewell C Limited (Sizewell C) is nuclear site licensed company whose business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Sizewell C was formerly under the majority ownership of the EDF Group but is currently majority owned by HM Government and operates as an independent company. EDF remains a key shareholder in Sizewell C and the business therefore maintains close links to EDF as a part of its ‘nuclear family’.
