Learning Support Assistant - Apprentice

Ashford School is a dynamic, thriving co-educational day and boarding school. The person appointed will be hardworking, empathetic, flexible and determined to support pupils either individually or in small groups. An understanding of children with additional learning needs would be desirable.

You will support across a broad range of subjects and all year groups up to Year 11. Support will be given during lessons, as well as some 1-1 sessions where necessary.

Duties include:

To support Learning and Teaching under the direction of the Director of Learning Enhancement
To work with all teachers as appropriate, in order to provide the best possible learning support
To work with groups or individuals, in and out of the classroom, as directed by the Director of Learning Enhancement
To attend Learning Support meetings as appropriate
To communicate with subject teachers as required, guided by Director of Learning Enhancement

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
