We have full time opportunities between the hours of 7.00am till 6.45pm Monday to Friday.
Job Overview:
Are you passionate about early years education and leadership? We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Nursery Manager Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to build a career in childcare management. Throughout this apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience in nursery operations, staff management, and child development, while working towards a recognised qualification in Early Years Education and Care.
As a Trainee Nursery Manager Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced managers and receive structured training to prepare you for a future role as a Nursery Manager. You will be involved in the day-to-day management of the nursery, supporting both staff and children to ensure high standards of care and education are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Nursery Operations: Assist with the daily management of the nursery, including setting up activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, and supporting staff in their roles.
- Childcare & Development: Ensure all children receive high-quality care and early years education, supporting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Staff Support & Supervision: Help supervise and mentor nursery staff, assisting with their training and development, and ensuring they follow nursery policies and procedures.
- Health & Safety Management: Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant environment, ensuring that health and safety regulations are always met.
- Parent & Carer Engagement: Support communication with parents and carers, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
- Admin & Reporting: Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, completing reports on children’s progress, and tracking nursery performance.
- Professional Development: Take part in ongoing training and development to gain a thorough understanding of the skills and knowledge required to manage a nursery.
- Work towards Qualifications: Actively engage in learning and development opportunities as part of the apprenticeship, working towards a qualification in Early Years Education and Care (Level 3 or equivalent).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Desirable: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, Grade C or above.
- Interest in Childcare Management: A passion for early years education and an interest in developing leadership skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support others in their roles.
- Organisation & Time Management: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Patience & Empathy: A caring and patient nature, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s development.
- Willingness to Learn: A desire to learn new skills, work towards professional qualifications, and grow within the childcare sector.

Key Responsibilities
● Working with children aged 0-5 in a childcare setting
● Supporting children through routine & stimulated activities
● Contributing to each child's learning development
Skills & Qualifications
● Must have sound a minimum of a Level 3 in early Years qualification and knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stages framework & safeguarding
● Not afraid to be silly & having lots of fun!
● A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training
● Candidates who have not passed Maths and English will need to do this alongside their Early Years Qualification with the support of our tutors
