We are looking for 8 Underwriting Apprentices to join our London-based Underwriting teams.
The Opportunity
Our Apprenticeship Programme is the perfect opportunity to start your career with a global company in the dynamic and thriving insurance industry.
Starting in September 2025, our Underwriting Apprentice programme will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills while spending two years working in one of our Underwriting teams. In addition to on-the-job development, you’ll spend 20% of your time participating in a Level 4 Insurance Specialist apprenticeship which will enable you to apply for your Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to embark on a career as an Underwriter and will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviors for success.
Your Team
Our Underwriting teams work with companies worldwide to create insurance solutions designed for specific industries and business challenges, supporting customers as diverse as the world's largest consumer brands, tech companies and the global aviation and shipping industry, but also floating wind parks, private pilots or Hollywood film actors.
You will be working within one of our experienced teams such as Aviation, Cyber, Property, Construction, Liability and Natural Resources who will help you to learn and grow. You will assist the underwriting of risks from receipt to submission binding and be welcomed into an inclusive and supportive environment where you can thrive and bring your unique perspectives and ideas to the table.

This position is designed for, and ideally suited to, school leavers holding 3 A-levels (or equivalent). Those with a higher level of qualification, such as a bachelors degree, are advised to apply to one of our other early careers programmes or direct entry roles: Allianz Careers

To comply with the apprenticeship eligibility rules, at the start of the apprenticeship, you must be aged 18 or over, living in England, not in full-time education and have the right to work in the UK.
