Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Assisting tradesman
- Assembly of parts
- Sheetmetal prep work
- Core prep work
- Various clean up procedures for each job
- Using hand and power tools
- Deburring
- Quality Assurance
- General production to support manufacture process
- Duties as directed by Fabrication Supervisor
- Works in accordance with standard operating procedures and established criteria;
- Understands and undertakes basic quality control/assurance procedures including the ability to recognize basic quality deviations/faults;
- Understands and utilizes basic statistical process control procedures;
- Follows safe work practices and can report workplace hazard
- Basic hand and power tools experience
- Able to communicate verbally with work colleagues and supervisor
- Highly motivated
