Job Description:
As an Apprentice/Trainee Land Surveyor at Castle Surveys, you will work closely with experienced surveyors to learn the fundamentals of land surveying and gain hands-on experience in various surveying techniques and technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting land surveys using traditional and modern surveying equipment.
- Support the preparation of survey plans, maps, and reports.
- Learn to analyze survey data and assist in the interpretation of legal descriptions.
- Participate in fieldwork, including setting up equipment, measuring distances, and recording data.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
- Maintain surveying equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while on-site and in the office.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in land surveying.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant degree or coursework in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong interest in land surveying and commitment to learning.
- Basic understanding of mathematics and geometry.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
