The Old School House Day Nursery in Walmley has been operating for just over a year. We also have future plans in place for expansion in the surrounding area. This will start a pathway to a small chain of nurseries, offering progression and opportunities to you and all our employee's.
We are open Monday to Friday from 7.30am - 6.30pm, we close on Bank Holidays and between Christmas and New Year. Everyone deserves a well earned break at Christmas!

What will your role entail?
This is a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience in a fabulous new Childcare setting whilst working towards a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce.The right candidate is required to ensure a high standard of care for the children, including promoting the children’s learning and development.
Duties of the role include, but not limited to;
- Assist practitioners in daily duties including supporting children’s learning and development.
- Supervise a room of children alongside the room senior
- Take part in all activities including play, feeding and changing
- Cleaning, following all health and safety duties in place
- Assist with the developmental record system and administration duties
- Complete all work set by your assessor
As an apprentice you will be expected to show a strong commitment to your role, confidence and a willingness to learn. The individual must be well presented, a good communicator, able to follow directions and demonstrate motivation.
Must have 2 suitable references and a clear DBS before you start.
