This vacancy is for an Apprentice Dental Nurse based in Ramsbottom.
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will help the dentist in performing different types of dental care treatment and processes.
The roles and responsibilities of the role are :
- Work to current best practice for dental nurses
- Use appropriate communication maintaining professional at all times and through all media to provide patient–centred care
- Prepare and maintain the clinical environment
- Carry out infection control procedures
- Prepare, mix and handle materials
- Keep accurate and current patient records
- Prepare equipment and materials for dental procedures and radiographs
- Give appropriate oral and general health advice to patients
- Recognise and deal with medical emergencies
- Take responsibility for your own professional development in line with General Dental Council requirements
- Contribute to the quality improvement of the service
Training to be provided
- Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing.
- Functional Skills Level 2 maths and English can be obtained on the course if you dont already hold these qualifications
- Safeguarding.
- First Aid.
