Job description
Our client is a West Yorkshire based firm of chartered accountants looking to recruit an Accounts Apprentice to work in their Halifax or Leeds accounts departments.
Job role:
- Assistance with the preparation of year-end accounts.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- VAT Returns
- Completion of Self-Assessment tax returns for a wide range of individuals, Partnerships and Trusts
- Completion of associated tax computations including calculations of capital gains.
- Ensuring technical competence and accuracy of the department’s work through review
- Adherence to statutory and other deadlines
- Meeting billing targets
- Liaising extensively with clients in relation to day-to-day compliance and planning issues
- Identification of planning opportunities
