Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to support the development and well-being of children, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages learning through play.
As part of the Kidz Family, working in the rural setting this would require a car driver as there is no commuter network connections.
As an Apprentice you will have to undertake an apprentice programme whist in the setting through our independent training provider.
Staff will be fully supported by our management staff.
Essential
This position requires the applicant to hold maths GCSE or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary.
- Help maintain the nursery environment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and stimulating for all children.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in childcare practices.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities by taking initiative in activities and supporting fellow team members.
- Work with Senior Practitioners and the Management team to obtain a childcare qualification whilst training on the job.
Requirements
- Experience working with children is desirable but not essential; a genuine passion for childcare is key.
- A willingness to learn about early childhood education principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work collaboratively within a team setting.
- A drive to develop leadership skills within a nursery environment.
- Previous experience or knowledge of nursery settings will be an advantage.

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
