Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks, learning the trade and developing essential skills necessary for a successful career in electrical work.
Duties
- Assist qualified electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of electrical systems and techniques.
- Help with troubleshooting electrical issues and performing basic repairs under supervision.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
- Document work performed and report any issues or concerns to senior electricians.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work well within a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Must be physically fit, capable of lifting heavy items, and comfortable working in various environments.
- A valid driver's licence may be advantageous for travel between job sites.
