Purpose of the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant & Transport Admin Apprentice to join the team based in Portsmouth, PO6 1TA. In this role you will provide support to the Portsmouth PFI team with legal compliance, accounting & data recovery.
This post is a 24 month FTC apprenticeship. You will complete a Transport Management qualification during this time alongside working in the Plant and Transport Admin Apprentice position.
Main Responsibilities
As a Plant & Transport Admin Apprentice your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- You will ensure that each vehicle has a Maintenance file with all documentation filed and easily available if needed. Regulatory Inspections, yearly Services, Mot and certs, tacho certs, Loler certs, defect reports Nil and defects reports and rectification invoices
- Assist with maintenance booking appointments
- Management of vehicle defects and reporting including actioning repairs identified
- Vehicle tacho Compliance, arrange regular downloading of all O licenses vehicles in line with our O License commitment of no more than 90 days.
- Drivers’ Tacho management, ensure all drivers comply with our O License commitment, of ensuring their Tacho is downloaded regularly no later than 28 days
- You will ensure all PFI vehicles maintenance planning is programmed at least 6 months in advance
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the P&T Admin Apprentice role will have a passion for learning and growing within this role. It would be ideal if you have some knowledge / interest of vehicles this is not essential. It is essential you are an excellent communication and have a good working knowledge of IT systems. In this role you will always recognise the importance of confidentiality and not be afraid to be propose solutions to management. A UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
You will be able to manage working alongside studying for a qualification in this role.
