NHS Lanarkshire is thrilled to announce several exciting opportunities for Modern Apprenticeships in Digital Applications based in Kirklands, Bothwell.
Annex 21 - As a trainee your pay is determined as a percentage of pay for qualified staff, in accordance with Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change terms and conditions, you will be paid 75% of the top of Band 3 salary, on completion of training you will then move to the Band 3 scale.

Location: Kirklands, NHSL Headquarters, Bothwell.

Duration: Fixed term post for 12 months starting from the 18th of August 2025. Part-time hours available with pro-rata salary.

Eligibility: Applicants must be aged between 16 to 24 years old on 1st of August 2025 (or up to 29 years for applicants with a disability or those that are care experienced*) and should be able to demonstrate that they can work to SCQF level 5 (National 5 level).

Support: You will be well supported on this Modern Apprenticeship Programme with a dedicated workplace buddy, a Job Coach from the in-house Employability Team and regular networking sessions with other apprentices.
What we are looking for:

Motivated Individuals: Highly motivated and committed individuals eager to join our Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

Skills: Strong communication, positive approach to work, basic knowledge of IT systems, along with the ability to understand various procedures and processes.

Interest: A particular interest in digital applications and IT roles, coupled with a positive attitude towards work and professional development.
Duties as an IT User Provisioning Administrator may include:
-
Ensuring all account administration is undertaken in compliance with the department's policies and procedures

Dealing with enquiries, tickets logged on the service desk and to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and internal/external personnel

Helping to support and maintain effective liaison across IT services; ensuring that a customer focused approach is embedded in all activities

Setting up users with appropriate security profiles
-
Keeping users and managers up to date with progress of tasks
-
Ensuring customer's issues are dealt with effectively and within required timeframes
In addition to this, you will gain experience across the Digital Directorate.
No Prior Experience Necessary: This Apprenticeship welcomes applicants with limited work experience, including school leavers.
