PAYROLL APPRENTICE

Are you passionate about numbers, people, and making a difference behind the scenes? We’re recruiting for a detail-focused individual to join our Payroll team as a Payroll Apprentice.
You’ll learn from our team of payroll professionals and receive full support to achieve Payroll Administrator Level 3. All this whilst gaining hands-on experience in a supportive, values-led environment.

This 18 month Apprenticeship will involve spending 80% learning on the job by getting hands-on experience, and 20% attending on-line study to achieve Payroll Administrator Level 3. It is full-time working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What you’ll be doing:
• Assisting in preparing and processing payroll
• Maintaining employee data and handling sensitive information
• Supporting the Payroll Department with new starters, leavers, and payroll changes
• Responding to employee queries
• Learning how payroll integrates with HR, finance, pensions, and compliance
• Working closely with team members who want to see you succeed
Qualifications/Skills:
• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4 or above
• A genuine interest in payroll and numbers
• Having a desire to learn
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to learning
• Organisational skills
• Basic IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word
