What we need?
We are looking for a HR Assistant Apprentice to join the HR function, supporting with the day-to-day transactional administration tasks as well as handling the day-to-day queries and providing first-line HR advice. The HR Assistant Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to pursue a career in Human Resources.
What will the role involve?
As a HR Assistant Apprentice, you will report directly to the HR Advisor, supporting our HR function with:
- Handling the day-to-day queries from employees and managers and providing HR advice using a best practice approach.
- Processing a range of HR transactional administrative tasks, from recruitment to retirement.
- Using a range of HR systems to keep accurate and up-to-date records at all times
- Preparation of reports for the wider business use, including payroll information
- Planning and organising; induction, interviews, training, projects, engagement, townhalls, fleet, and travel.
- HR administration tasks
- Reviewing the HR and Careers inbox, escalating any complex queries
- Keep up to date with changes to internal policies, employment law, and legal risks to the business
- Supporting Managers with note-taking for employee relations casework

- Good MS Office knowledge
- GSCE A-C / 9 – 4 English and Maths
- Desirable 1.5 – 2 years of experience working within an office environment, team leading, or customer service qualification
