We are looking to recruit a passionate and dedicated Nursery Apprentice to join our Little Bear’s team at either our Wanstead Green or Wanstead Village sites.
Full time or part time

The Role
Work as a member of the nursery team to create a stimulating and nurturing environment where the highest standards of care are provided. You will be able to use your own initiative to meet individual children’s needs and take responsibility for the safety, security and well-being of all children within the room. At all times, you will ensure all agreed Company Policies and Procedures are adhered to in the nursery.
Key Responsibilities
· To be a reliable and co-operative member of the team.
· To be conversant with the Early Learning Goals and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
· To observe each child’s progress and to report to a key person on achievements looking for progression and continuity.
· To foster good working relationships with parents/guardians, staff and outside agencies.
· Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
· Be responsible for participating in all self-development activities, including appraisals, supervisions etc.
· Undertake shared responsibility for health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
We are looking for individuals:
· Prepared to undertake professional development as appropriate.
· Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents.
· Excellent time keeping
· Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities
· Previous childcare experience working with children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years.
· A clear understanding of all relevant safeguarding legislations and Health & Safety issues.
· Ability to work as a member of a team fostering positive relationships with parents, colleagues and outside agencies.
