Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard (Maintenance)
T&C Site Services repair, maintain and manage earthmover and OTR tyres throughout the UK to the highest standards. Our knowledge, skills and systems enable you to maximise your tyre’s life and minimise their cost.

We are currently seeking one Earthmover Tyre Fitter Level 2 Apprentice
Working week:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 to 16:30
50% of the apprenticeship will be spent in England and other 50% in Wales
Salary
Ages 16 to 17: £7.55 per hour
Over 18: £10.00 per hour

18 Months

What does the job role involve?
The successful candidate will be working with some of the biggest earthmoving and heavy machinery equipment in the world. You’ll be visiting some interesting places like nuclear power stations, quarries and ports where special access is required. You’ll be helping companies get back to work after an emergency stop. (In fact, you’re vital to their business continuing.) You’ll be fully trained and certified as part of our mentoring programme.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will achieve a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Main Activities
- Drive to the customer's site/location.
- Removal and fitting of earthmover tyres; pneumatic, filled and solid.
- Repairing of tyres, in-house and on-site.
- Use of hydraulic HIAB air tools.
- Conform to HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes.
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As well as gaining a broad range of professional knowledge and experience, you will gain academic and vocational qualifications such as the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard. You will also achieve Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills), as well as a Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations (Knowledge).

You could continue to develop your career by choosing to obtain further qualifications, develop and improve your management and leadership skills or even move across the different areas of the business to pursue a career in your chosen field.

Qualifications:
- Applicants must have 3 x GCSE at Grade 3 or above including Maths, English and another subject.

- Ability to absorb information, analyse problems, make fact-based decisions, and propose innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
