We are looking to recruit a Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team of Professional Quantity Surveyors within the Commercial Team at Cormac.
You must be keen to pursue a career in Quantity Surveying, ideally with some quantity surveying experience, although this isn’t essential.
You must be hardworking, keen, meticulous and professional and either already have a degree or willing to undertake a degree course in Quantity Surveying.
Apprentices will follow the Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Apprenticeship Standard.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Assist with the company’s Quantity Survey monthly procedures
- To assist the Commercial Team with the following;
- The monthly cost/value reconciliation (CVR) reporting in accordance with current process including cost tracker and income/contribution monthly profiles.
- The management of the payment processes with clients ensuring applications for payment are submitted and tracked in accordance with agreed payment schedules.
- The preparation of compensation events/variations.
- The compilation of subcontract orders and to attend pre-contract meetings.
- The accurate measurement of subcontract works.
- The management of subcontract accounts including issuing of subcontract payment certificates.
- To be aware of and adhere to applicable rules, regulations, legislation and procedures i.e. Data Protection, Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, company policies.
- The management of clients budgets and reporting.

- You will be safety conscious, have a strong awareness of the health and safety of both yourself and others.
- You will be resilient, adaptable and keen to learn and complete your apprenticeship.
- The ability to travel locally and work at different locations.
- A full UK Driving Licence

Salary: £20,202 - £31,746
Contract: Permanent, full time
