Barkston Plastic Ltd is a successful Leeds based plastic distribution specialist selling a range of materials and solutions to both consumers and business to business. We work with a wide range of industries including retail, construction and service sectors providing bespoke solutions to a wide range of weird and wonderful challenges. We are looking for an enthusiastic customer service apprentice, working alongside our sales and marketing team.
What you will do….
Key Responsibilities
· Be the first point of contact for customers via email, phone, and chatbot – answering queries with speed, clarity, and a smile.
· Work closely with our sales, marketing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth communication and customer satisfaction.
· Chase late orders with internal teams and carriers to keep customers informed and happy.
· Gather and analyse data and customer information that influences change and improvements in service (eg, insights on performance, analysing statistics or other data, such as customer feedback, to determine the level and effectiveness of customer service being provided).
· Continuously improve our customer journey based on insights into customer demographics.
You would develop expertise into what our customers want, which we would ask you to use to support our marketing department with the following tasks:
· Post engaging daily content across TikTok and Instagram, showcasing our products, processes, and behind-the-scenes culture.
· Bring energy and ideas to improve both our customer journey and our digital presence.
What we need from you
You will have a demonstrated an enthusiastic and ambitious attitude to driving excellence in customer services you will need:
grade 4/C or above in English and Maths
· A passion for working with people
· strong organisational skills
· confidence in your communication skills
· Attention to detail
