Job Overview
We are looking to take on a young person between the ages of 18 to 21 under CITB apprenticeship scheme in pitched roofing and lead work where you will attend Exeter college on either day release or block release.
You will need to be physically fit and able, willing to work in all weather, punctual and reliable and keen to learn the trade.
You will need a driving licence and means of getting yourself to and from site.
We will supply work wear and ppe
Wages are inline with the Governments apprenticeship scheme for ages between 18 and 21 which will be paid weekly.
This is a great opportunity to learn a trade, only applications that meet our requirements will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, tiles, and metal.
- Conduct inspections to identify roof damage or wear and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning gutters and removing debris from roofs.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while working at heights.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively for various roofing tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Assist in fabrication processes as needed for custom roofing solutions.

- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks
