Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Carpenter Apprentice to join our skilled team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their carpentry skills while gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of construction. Also willing to learn other skills. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters, assisting with a range of tasks that contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Must have a driving licence
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and frameworks.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Participate in roofing projects, ensuring proper installation and safety measures are followed.
- Support joinery work by measuring, cutting, and shaping materials as required.
- Aid in construction painting, ensuring surfaces are prepared and finished to a high standard.
- Engage in basic plumbing tasks as needed, under supervision.
- Assist with masonry work, including bricklaying and blockwork.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to transport materials and equipment on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Qualifications
- A keen interest in carpentry and construction with a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge or experience in fabrication, assembly, roofing, joinery, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
