Job Introduction
POSITION: Apprentice LPG Engineer
We have a vacancy for an Apprentice LPG Engineer specialising in the installation, maintenance, inspection and testing of LPG vessels throughout the UK. Ideally the successful candidate should be located within the following areas identified as Birmingham, Coventry or Northampton, postcodes: B, CV NN.
Responsibilities (Ultimately working towards)

Assisting engineers in the installation, exchanging and uplift of LPG vessels

Assisting with ten-year testing of LPG vessels
-
Assisting in annual visual inspections of LPG vessels
-
Assisting in emergency call outs
-
Loading and unloading of LPG vessels
-
Preparation of LPG vessels and stock level management
-
Completing service works on LPG installations.

As part of our field-based team, you will report to the National Engineering Inspector (North or South)

You will be expected to proactively engage with training and will build the skills and knowledge to enable you to become a qualified LPG Engineer. This is includes the successful completion of the level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship.

You will work within a team of Engineers, located within the UK. You will be provided with a mentor who will support your development in role.

Willing to work away on occasions to gain experience of different job types

Able to listen, absorb and retain key knowledge

Able to work by yourself using your own initiative and understand when you need to seek advice.
Desirable competencies:

Experience of working with hand and electrical tools

General building and DIY skills
-
Mechanically minded
-
Have a grade 4 or above in Maths and English.
