An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Nursery Practitioner to join our well qualified team at the Angela Elizabeth Nursery in Wilkieston, West Lothian.
The nursery opens Monday to Friday between 7.30am-6.00pm and registered to care for a maximum of 105 children per day between the ages of 3 months - 5 years.
The trainee will gain practical experience in the nursery while studying towards SVQ level 3 in Children and Young People. On successful completion the trainee will become a fully qualified nursery practitioner.
This role is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and the trainee will receive an MA salary. The trainee will be allocated a designated training assessor from Q Train who will support and guide them through the Modern Apprenticeship Programme.
The trainee will work as a member of the nursery team providing quality care and education to all children.
It is essential that the applicant have good communication skills, be enthusiastic, hardworking with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
Requirements
3 National Unit 4’s or 5’s at pass level (English essential)
Subject to registration with Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG)
Subject to registration with The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)

Pay: £7.75-£12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
