This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience and a nationally recognised qualification. However, it requires commitment and hard work. You will need to balance practical training with academic study, complete coursework alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, and demonstrate progress each year. Consistent effort is essential, as failure to complete the programme may affect your continued employment

Demonstrate engineering skills by working independently and in teams, completing academic and practical training to achieve qualifications.
Support New Product Introduction projects, maintain workshop equipment, keep accurate logbooks, and ensure good housekeeping.
Gain insight into product development from concept to implementation while contributing to departmental tasks.
Observe, learn and apply a wide range of engineering skills and processes under supervision.
