Job Role: Skills Coach
Positions available:
- 1 x full time hours, M-F, permanent
- 1 x full time hours, M-F, Maternity Cover.
Location: Remote with travel - mainly Kent and London (Main Office: Chatham Dockyards, London centric partners)
What you’ll do
As a Skills Coach, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of hospitality by delivering outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment. You’ll:
- Manage and develop a caseload of learners and their employers
- Complete activities with learners to support them on a meaningful and successful apprenticeship journey. (Onboarding, delivery sessions, progress reviews, marking and assessment)
- Deliver engaging training sessions (in person and online) relating to your speciality - Hospitality and/or Culinary Industry, Level 2 - Level 5
- Support learners with enhancing English & Maths
- Support learners with progression, timely achievement, and readiness for End Point Assessment
- Act as a curriculum champion for hospitality pathways
- Embed safeguarding, British Values, and inclusivity in all delivery
- Adapt teaching to support learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with the support of our SEN specialist
- Promote Umbrella Training programmes to employers, supporting their growth and people development strategies
Who we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Strong hospitality experience, ideally in a 4- or 5-star luxury environment at experienced management level
- English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE A–C or equivalent)
- A passion for inspiring others and developing talent
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in staff training, coaching, or mentoring
Desirable:
- Industry qualifications at Level 3 or above.
- Vocational Assessment Qualifications
- Teaching/Training Qualifications and willingness to work towards.
- Experience delivering training or teaching online.
- Knowledge of ESFA/Government-funded programmes.
