We’re now looking for a Nursery Apprentice to join our friendly, supportive team at our city centre Nursery, starting in January 2026.

The Role
As a Nursery Apprentice, you’ll work alongside qualified practitioners to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years. You’ll be fully supported while studying towards your Level 2 or Level 3 CCLD (Children’s Care, Learning and Development) qualification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Helping to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities based on the children’s interests.
- Supporting children’s routines, including mealtimes, rest, play, and toileting.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and your team.
- Following health, safety, and safeguarding policies at all times.
- Learning through hands-on experience and guided mentorship.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to have previous childcare experience—we’re looking for someone with the right attitude, heart, and willingness to learn.
Essential:
- A kind, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to working with children.
- A genuine interest in starting a career in early years education.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to completing an apprenticeship qualification.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Any voluntary or paid experience in childcare or education.
- Knowledge of the Foundation Phase or EYFS.
- Welsh language skills.
