A fantastic opportunity to join the team as an equine groom.
Daily duties including, but not limited to;
- Mucking out
- feeding
- haying
- watering
- sweeping/tidying yard,
- keeping the yard & equipment clean
- catching in & turning out
- grooming & preparing horses for lessons
- assisting with lessons.
With the additional opportunities to be involved with
- backing & training
- all aspects of stud work
- assist at shows

- High attendance and punctuality record
- Keen listener & able to follow instructions
- Enthusiastic to learn about working with horses
Desired Qualifications
- Applicants must NOT already hold a level 2 or above in Equine.
- GCSE maths and English Grade 4/C or equivalent desired but not essential.
Possible Progression
- Teaching opportunities.
- Opportunity of full time work after the apprenticeship.
- Progression on to level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship.
Training Provided
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment. The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship.
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
Training towards BHS Stage Exams and Ride Safe.
