Overview
As a Stores Apprentice at Malton Coachworks Ltd, you will be supporting in the day-to-day ordering, receiving, processing and storing of parts and consumables required across several locations and departments. Paperwork will also be expected to be completed and archived correctly to make sure other departments can complete their tasks efficiently.
Maintaining a pre-determined stock levels of consumable and workshop parts, so they are readily available across all workshops.
Liaising with suppliers to make sure the correct parts are ordered and to be delivered in a timely manner to keep the workshops productive, also collect parts from local suppliers if required.
You will also be required to help maintain a good level of housekeeping, making sure that packaging materials are disposed of or stored correctly, and workspaces are kept presentable.
Monthly stocktakes are undertaken in all departments, you will be expected to be a part of these, and to help make sure they are completed accurately, and the system reflects correctly the total stock value for the monthly accounts.

Duties
- Assist senior staff with daily operational tasks and administrative duties
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients via phone and email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Use Microsoft Excel and other software tools to compile data and track progress
- Maintain a tidy and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
Experience
- Previous experience is not essential; however, familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic IT skills are advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- Organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role
- Excellent phone and email etiquette are desirable traits
- A proactive attitude with a keen interest in learning about various operational functions within the organisation
