As aTrainee Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with our Commercial and Operational teams, gaining invaluable experience in managing and controlling thefinancial and commercial aspects of projects and contracts.You’lllearn how to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest levels of customer satisfaction.This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience while studyingtowardsa nationally recognised qualification.
Whatyou’llbe doing...
As a Trainee Assistant Quantity Surveyor,you’llwork alongside experienced Commercial and Operational teams, learning how to manage and control the financial and commercial aspects of construction projects.Activities may include:
- Collaborating with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Preparing and reviewing client accounts and commercial statements
- Analysingproject drawings and quantifying work
- Managing payments and sub-contract purchase orders with full compliance
- Tracking applications for payment and ensuring timely processing
- Supporting the measurement and valuation of completed works

Essential
- A minimum Level 3 qualification (like A-Levels or a BTEC) or equivalent, and evidence of GCSEs (or functional skills) inMathsand English at grade 4/C or above
Desirable
- Passionate about starting a career in the construction and building materials industry
- Committed to completing a Level 4 Qualification while gaining practical experience
- A strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Eager to develop commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
