Your Role
As an Apprentice Installation Engineer, you’ll support experienced electricians with the installation of EV chargers and renewable technologies in both domestic and commercial environments while developing your technical knowledge and practical skills.
You’ll work under supervision, learning safely, responsibly, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Work safely under supervision and check with your supervisor before handling electrical equipment.
- Only carry out tasks you are authorised and trained to perform.
- Stop work and report immediately if you have any safety concerns.
- Assist with planning jobs, preparing tools, equipment, and materials.
- Follow company procedures and meet agreed productivity standards.
- Accurately report work activity in line with company processes.
- Help maintain tools, equipment, materials, and company vehicles.
- Support weekly vehicle inspections under team leader guidance.
- Report any concerns around safety, welfare, conduct, or performance promptly.
What We’re Looking For
- A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions carefully.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK and occasionally stay away (company-funded).
- Access to your own vehicle is required for meeting the team or travelling to site.
- Commitment to building your own basic toolkit over time.
- Dedication to achieving electrical qualifications, including:
- BS7671 (18th Edition)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- AM2
- Inspection & Testing (2391)
