Payroll Apprentice

Regional Recruitment are looking for a Payroll Apprentice to assist with the daily operations within our Payroll Department. As our Payroll Apprentice, you'll be more than just a number cruncher - You will be a trusted part of the team, that keeps our organisation running smoothly, playing a vital role in supporting our colleagues. This role offers excellent exposure to a wide range of Payroll functions, and provides a strong foundation for someone looking to build their career within the sector.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Chasing and processing timesheets
- Processing weekly payroll for Temporary staff
- Setting up new starters on the payroll system
- Preparing and sending sales invoices
- Processing purchase orders
- Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
- Credit control, including chasing outstanding payments
- Paying suppliers and reconciling supplier statements
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (Essential)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively (Essential)
- Possess a strong attention to detail (Essential)
- Possess good organisational skills (Essential)
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and develop (Essential)
- Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll (Desirable)
- Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Desirable)
