Bee Tee Alarms Ltd is a family run business that is one of the largest UK based installers of high-quality security systems. They've been established for nearly 30 years. Their head office is in Northampton, with branches in Banbury, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Coventry.

Due to demand Bee Tee Alarms are now looking to recruit TWO new apprentices who will initially pair with existing engineers at their Northampton branch. They are keen to offer people the chance to secure a career within the fire and security sector, offering family orientated environment.

Bee Tee would train you on the installation, maintainence and repair of the following areas, among others, via hands-on practical experience from their experienced engineers:

Access control systems
Intruder Alarms
CCTV systems

As part of the apprenitceship, you would work on Access Control Systems, Security Alarms and CCTV (among others) and grow to be a multi disciplined engineer across the 28 month course.

Entry requirements

Desired skills/qualities:

No criminal record and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check.
Hold a full UK drivers license OR at the very least, be able to commit to obtain one by the end of year 2 of the apprenticeship.
Comfortable working at height.
Basic electrical awareness and knowledge would be ideal.
A solid foundation level of IT would be ideal.
Maths and English at grade 4 or above GCSE, or equivalent.

Training to be provided

Skills for Security offer:
Delivery of the Level 3 apprenticeship.

Completing all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.

Complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.

Things to consider

The apprenticeship is 28 months and therefore, full commitment is needed.

A drivers license is required by the end of year 2.

Future prospects

A full time engineer position will be available for the right candidate upon completing the apprenticeship.

The salary for year 1 is £15,704.00, a company pension is also a benefit.
