Location: IKM Testing UK (Aberdeen)
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic to join our onshore Workshop Department at IKM Peregrine House, Westhill. This role offers hands-on mechanical experience, training and development, and career progression opportunities within the company. The successful candidate will embark on a 3 or 4-year apprenticeship scheme (depending on experience) working in various areas of the Maintenance Team, on a range of pumps, tanks, instrumentation and more. Within the scheme there will be 6-9 months rotation gaining a variety of knowledge and skills in the Stores, Mobilisation and Pressure Control teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical equipment.
- Perform equipment strip-downs, inspections, cleaning, and rebuilds.
- Support workshop operations including pressure testing and mobilisation prep.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Complete apprenticeship modules and training requirements.
Requirements
- Interest in mechanics or engineering
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Basic mechanical aptitude desirable but not essential
