Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing and related trades, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the building services industry. The role involves assisting senior plumbers with various tasks on-site, ensuring the delivery of high-quality plumbing solutions across commercial and residential projects. Duties
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial and residential properties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks under supervision
- Support with welding and assembly of pipework components as required
- Help with cutting, fitting, and joining pipes using appropriate techniques and materials
- Perform basic mechanical tasks including tightening fittings and securing fixtures
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate project progress
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during on-site activities
- Support carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations when necessary
- Assist with the use of basic maths for measurements and calculations needed during installations
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary; a keen interest in plumbing and building trades is essential
- Basic knowledge of plumbing principles is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is crucial
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes is desirable
- Good mechanical aptitude coupled with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work physically demanding hours when required
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is preferred but not essential at entry level
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health & safety guidelines
