We recommend that you reside within 30 miles DT1 2PJ as daily site attendance will be required.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our team of dedicated professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to cultivate essential skills and progress your career in the electrical field. As an Apprentice Electrician at Magna, you will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, acquiring hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, while developing a comprehensive range of skills. In this role you will learn to:
Installation: Learn to install electrical services such as lighting and socket circuits, full domestic rewires, emergency lighting, and heating systems.
Repairs: Carry out day-to-day repairs, including fault finding and troubleshooting electrical issues.
Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test electrical installations, ensuring they meet safety and compliance standards, and complete relevant certification.
College Training: Attend a day release programme at a local college to enhance your theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Safety Training: Train in a safe environment adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Relationship Building: Develop great working relationships within a strong support network, giving you the opportunity to build your confidence and skills.
What you need to be successful:
Ability to communicate professionally, follow direction and eager to learn.
Self-driven, with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, at C/4 grade or above.
