We are seeking a motivated and committed individual to join the Safety, Health. Environment & Chemistry (SHEC) team as a SHE Apprentice at Grain Power Station. This is a structured 3-year apprenticeship programme combining academic learning with practical experience in a high-hazard, regulated power generation environment.
The apprentice will undertake a recognised SHE-related qualification supported by on-the-job training, mentoring, and exposure to operational activities and governance processes, as well as an IOSH accredited Safety, health and environment technician level 3 apprenticeship.

Support implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS)

Assist with compliance against UK legislation (HSWA, PUWER, WAHR, COSHH, CDM)

Support risk assessments and safe systems of work

Assist incident reporting and investigation

Support contractor safety governance and assurance

Assist environmental monitoring and compliance

Support audits, inspections and assurance activities

Assist with inductions and SHE communications

Maintain registers and compliance trackers
Essential:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics
- Strong interest in SHE disciplines
- Good communication and organisational skill
Driving license and access to vehicle required
Desirable:
- A Levels or equivalent
- Previous work experience
- Interest in energy or industrial sectors
