In Town Automotive is one of the largest independently owned garages in the East Midlands, with modern workshop facilities, strong customer reviews and a growing team across multiple sites.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team and begin a long-term career in the motor industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced technicians in a busy, professional workshop environment while working towards a recognised qualification.

The Role

You will learn how to:

Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance
Complete vehicle health checks
Assist with repairs including brakes, suspension and clutches
Diagnose basic faults
Use workshop equipment and diagnostic tools
Maintain high workshop standards
Work safely and efficiently as part of a team

As your experience grows, you will gain exposure to more advanced repairs including engine work, timing belts and wet belt replacements.

What We’re Looking For

A genuine interest in cars and the motor trade
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Good attitude and strong work ethic
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work as part of a team
Full UK driving licence required
Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance is beneficial but not essential
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English preferred
