A fantastic opportunity has come up for an Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our Team we are a busy Private & NHS Practice located in Great Notley, Braintree.

Our practice is modern with fully digital with CT scanning facilities. We offer a full range of dental treatments including Implants, Orthodontics, Oral surgery and cosmetic and Facial aesthetics services.
Duties will include
Dental Nurse Responsibilities & Duties
- Preparing exam rooms, sterilising instruments and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentists
- Assisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs
- Assisting with taking X-rays for patients and processing them
- Processing and packing lab work for the dentist
- Greeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointments
- Updating and maintaining dental records
- Handling general administrative and other duties to maintain surgeries
- Training and development in intra oral scanning and 3D digital work flows
- Learning Reception and assisting when needed.
Training will be provided with an accredited apprenticeship company as well as in house training. You will have a mentor who oversees all training and provides support.
This is a full time position which includes one full college day at either Colchester institute or with an accredited online training provider. Once the course has been completed you will achieve a Level 3 NVQ in Dental Nursing and will apply for the GDC register.
Please be aware that to qualify for this course you must have a GCSE level 4 or equivalent (Level 2 functional skills) in Maths and English ( 1 x level 4 and 1 x level 3 in Maths and English will be accepted also)
Note this job is the apprenticeship wage for the first year then increasing to national minimum wage for your age in the second year until qualification earned.
