We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Modern Apprentice. This role will give you the experience of working on a busy construction site as well as studying on a block release basis to achieve a level 3 apprenticeship qualification. Capturing the knowledge and experience of a qualified craftsperson to understand the trade, your daily tasks will include, but not limited to installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical pipework services.

Main Accountabilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the below

As a Modern Apprentice you will work alongside an experienced tradesperson to gain experience in the following areas:

Work indoors and outdoors and be prepared to sometimes work at height.
Working with a mentor & supervisor but also an ability to rely on their own initiative.
Be prepared to travel away from home.
Develop good working relationships with people.
Read both building and engineering drawings.
Understand pipework installation drawings and schematics.
Select (within limits) materials and equipment.
Test and commission mechanical installations.
Diagnose and rectify faults
Write reports.

You will attend college on a block release basis and work towards a Level 3 Building Services Engineering Craftsperson (Mechanical Pipefitter)

Qualifications:

To be considered for this apprenticeship you will need to have achieved a Grade 4 or C and above in Maths and English

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
