Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has risen to join our team, as an Apprentice Lightning Protection Engineer. This position is to install lightning protection and earthing systems on multiple projects across different sectors whilst maintaining the highest level of safety and compliance with regulations.
Our offices are based in South London, but please note this position is a national role, this requires travel around the UK and on occasion working away from home. (Note company vehicles are provided).
Accountabilities:
- To install Lightning Protection systems in accordance to BSEN62305
- To test Lightning Protection systems in accordance to BSEN62305
- To carry out Earthing to substations in accordance to UKPS & UKPN
- To be diligent to all aspects of the job expected of you and the national regulations and sites rules, carrying out all job requirements considering appropriate health and safety regulations, to maintain adequate H&S standards and appropriate representation of the company
- A company vehicle is supplied – therefore a full UK driving license is required and appropriate competence when driving for BLL.
- Complete all necessary company paperwork accurately, including but not limited to risk assessments, job sheets, certification, and timesheets.
- Provide on-site communications and advice to clients or project managers where necessary and to other staff members, representing the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications / training towards:
- CSCS Card
- CITB Certificate
- IPAF Certificate
- PASMA Certificate
- Full UK Driving License
- CAT & Genny training
- Working at Height Certificate
- NVQ Diploma Level 2 Lightning Conductor Engineer
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
