About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice to join our small team within our glass processing factory. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and develop new skills in this varied role.

Working closely with other team members you will learn a variety of skills and gain valuable knowledge and kick-start a career in the industry.

You will be completing a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Apprenticeship standard. This will be delivered using a combination of:

Workplace experience to gain practical skills
Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor
Fully workplace based industry recognised training & assessments leading to an apprenticeship qualification

Responsibilities

Assist colleagues in daily tasks & projects
Quality control
Package items ready for despatch
Precise measuring & hand cutting of glass
Safe handling of glass
Use of machinery to polish glass
Develop an in depth product knowledge
Assisting with deliveries and installations when required
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines as part of a varied workday
Communicate with colleagues effectively
Stock control and ordering of materials
Cleaning and maintenance of work area

We’ll provide you with a company induction, role-specific training, and apprenticeship support.

We’ll also support your personal growth and development in line with your career aspirations.

You will attend occasional in house or off site courses to further your knowledge.

About Us

We are a family business, established in 2002 and operate from our base in Bradford, we supply to customers throughout the UK. Our core products are bespoke glass splashbacks, mirrors, shower screens and balustrades. All of our products are produced in-house and installed in homes, offices, bars & restaurants throughout the UK.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £7.70 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
