What is an Electrical Wholesaler?
Electrical wholesalers sell the products we all use in our homes, businesses, entertainment venues, cafes that give us access to electricity – from lighting our homes through to floodlighting a football match, from recharging a mobile phone to recharging an electric vehicle. The products you will be working with are used in domestic, industrial, and commercial settings.
Summary of the Apprenticeship Role
As a Warehouse & Sales Apprentice, you will be working in all aspects of the Warehouse from stock control, goods in and all areas warehouse management. You will also be working on the sales counter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone like you to start your career in the Electrical Wholesale sector.
Ideally the apprentice will be able to drive to assist with deliveries
We are looking for a highly motivated apprentice to join our busy branch. After full training, responsibilities will include:
- Managing stock in and out
- Picking and Packing customer orders
- Liaising with customers on the trade counter
- Store transfers & stock control
- Completing the Warehouse paperwork for goods in and goods out
- Serving customers on the trade counter
- Taking payments
- Ordering items on the computer system
- Answering the telephone
Apprenticeship Training
As an apprentice you will complete a Warehouse SVQ Level 5 qualification with a national Training Provider. Your apprenticeship Training will focus on your job, is completed at the workplace and you will be allocated a tutor and a study session in your working week.
Components of the Warehouse SVQ Level 5 Apprenticeship
· Competence/Knowledge based qualification
· Essential Skills – Maths/ English (if required)

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, and all being well, there will be a full-time role with the company. From there you could progress to other job roles such as external sales, team leader, assistant manager and even Branch Manager.
