Job Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Operative Apprentice to join our small charity team in managing the flow of goods and materials within our warehouse and out with our vans team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse activities, ensuring efficient operations and timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory
- Perform stock checks and maintain accurate records
- Handle heavy lifting tasks as required
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes
- Utilise all safe manual handling techniques
Qualifications
- As a training scheme, the apprenticeship requires basic Maths and English to complete it which, if required, can be done during the apprenticeship with the local college
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems
- Ability to handle heavy materials safely
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical condition for heavy lifting tasks
- Knowledge of materials handling best practices
- Familiarity with picking, packing, and shipping procedures
