Level 3 animal care apprenticeship – working with KEITS to gain your qualification, no day release to college, working towards your new skills and progression routes for the right candidate.
Duties will include but not limited to;
- Providing a caring, stimulating, and safe environment for all dogs
- Supervising staff members
- Overseeing the daily running of the business and provide customer service
- Canine enrichment and nutrition
- General supervision of the dogs
- Greeting customers and their dogs
- Taking payments and customer enquiries.
Desired Skills and Qualities
- Must be confident with dogs of all sizes.
- Must be able to be on your feet for multiple hours a day.
- Must be flexible, and able to work shifts (given on a rota 7 weeks in advance)
- Good time management is essential.
- Basic IT/admin skills would be an advantage but not essential.
- Outgoing
- Can do attitude.

- Passion for animals
Desired qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths is desired
- Applicants MUST hold a Level 2 in Animal Care to be eligible
Future Prospects
- Progression onto Animal Care Level 3
- Possible future career with the business for the right candidate
Training
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 3 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard.
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
