Carbon Synergy Ltd in Hull is offering a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice CAD Engineer. As part of their design team, you’ll work on exciting projects, gain practical experience, and develop skills that will help shape your career in the construction and engineering industries.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Apprentice CAD Engineer, you will be working alongside experienced electrical and mechanical designers, learning from their expertise and taking on your own projects as you progress. Here’s what your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Working Within the Design Team: Collaborating closely with electrical or mechanical designers and contributing to design projects.
- Taking on Your Own Projects: You’ll be assigned your own design projects, which will be supervised by peers as you develop your skills.
- Collaboration with the Document Controller: Gain an understanding of their digital design requirements by working alongside the document controller.
- Site Visits: Get hands-on experience by visiting live site-based projects to understand how designs are implemented in real-world construction.
- Daily Design Tasks: Participate in various design tasks, reporting progress daily, and contributing to the team’s work.
- Team Meetings: Be actively involved in design team meetings, offering input and participating in discussions.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Educational Requirements: A minimum of GCSEs (grade 4 or above) in Maths, Science, and English, or relevant industry experience.
- AutoCAD LT Knowledge: Ideally, you should have experience with AutoCAD LT or similar design software.
- Microsoft Office Skills: A solid understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Teamwork & Communication Skills: You must be a team player, able to communicate effectively with colleagues both within the design team and across the company.

You will enroll onto a relevant CAD Level 4 Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering. HBTC are responsible for the recruitment for this apprenticeship but not the training.

Pay: £6.40-£7.55 per hour
